What does it mean to be born again?

God loves you and He created you to live in perfect relationship with Him. But our sin and our pride separated us from God. Our desire for control caused us to fall into spiritual death. Our sins cannot be removed through good works, religion, money, or self-improvement. But the GOOD NEWS is that Jesus Christ paid for your sin over 2,000 years ago when He died on the cross for you. His blood speaks a better word over your life: “Forgiven.”

Eternal life is for everyone who repents of their sin and confesses Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life. Your life begins anew when you are born again and receive Jesus into your heart. If you repent today and turn to follow Jesus, you will be resurrected spiritually by the power of the Holy Spirit and restored into right relationship with God.

Is there anything stopping you from giving your heart to Jesus Christ today?

The truth is that nothing can stop you from coming to Jesus! He says, “Come as you are.” Don’t wait to get it together to come to Him. Come to Him first and let His love and grace transform you from the inside out. If you want to receive Jesus right now, pray this outloud:

“Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for me, and that God raised You from the dead. Today, I repent of my sin and I ask for Your blood to wash me clean. I turn away from living life my own way and I choose to follow You all the days of my life. Jesus, come into my heart. Give me a fresh start. I receive Your Holy Spirit. Just as You have forgiven me of all my sin, I choose today to also forgive everyone who has ever wronged or mistreated me. (List their names.) I renounce every other god or spirit that I have let into my life and I declare that Jesus Christ is my one and only Lord. Holy Spirit, baptize me in the fire of God and empower me to live boldly for Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

  Prayer is simply talking to God. Start to develop a dedicated time every day that you pray, read the Bible, and spend time with God. Jesus wants to help you with every aspect of your life. Start a prayer journal, and as you write out your prayers, you’ll begin to see God’s faithfulness to answer you!

• Get Water Baptized
  Getting water baptized is a public declaration that you are identifying with Christ in His death and resurrection. Going into the water represents your old nature dying with Christ and coming up out of the water represents your spiritual resurrection in Christ. Baptism is far more than symbolic, though. There is a real spiritual transaction that happens when we are obedient to get water baptized. Don’t delay! Take the step to get baptized as soon as possible.
